They played a rousing game of chess
That ended in a horrid mess.

Her doctors voiced a grim prognosis.
Jan cried and cried and cried for days
When she got lost within the maze.
Her yellow dress looked twice as nice
Before she saw its wretched price.
When Henry tried to run away
Dad sent him on his merry way.
The peasants staged a coup and failed.
The King said “poo” and had them jailed.
